Alexandra CADEO

Alexandra graduated in a psychology and psycho-pathology. After 15 years of practice as psychologist and social psychology teacher she got convinced that the wellness is a balance between mind and body.
This philosophy convinced her two years ago to undertake and extensive training in the Pilates Studio A Lyne-Curtis – Oakes (Paris).
Pilates regular practice perfectly fulfills that quest of balance between spirit and body (and improves significantly both those essential needs.
Those various techniques with a in-depth listening and great sensibility to
particular needs, Alexandra customizes an holistic, smooth approach for each individual with great results.
This holistic and individualized approach also led her to take care of her students.
Today she is a certified Pilates teacher on mat and machines (Reformer, Cadillac, Chair) for all levels and she also proposes Pilates retreats in France and abroad in stunning places. (Diploma, Certificates)
Pilates
BORN OF JOSEPH PILATES'S PRACTICE, THIS METHOD IS A COMBINATION OF STRETCHING, BREATHING AND STRENGTH THAT ALLOWS TO WORK THE IN-DEPTH MUSCLES.

Joseph Pilates
Joseph Pilates was a very sporty man (boxing, gymnastics, yoga and meditation), with serious physical problems when he was young (rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, rickets and fragile lungs), he had to look for different ways and techniques to strengthen his body and his spirit. From all these practices ,Pilates practice was born.

A progressive method
The Pilates is a progressive method approachable to all: the exercises can be adapted according to the level, needs and potential pathologies of each. The sessions consist of a serie of exercises on the ground on matress, (where the name of Pilates « Matwork » comes from), and on machines (Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrel). Respecting breathing, concentration, balance, control, fluidity and accuracy are the key to Pilates exercises and allows for long-term movement control.

Development
A regular Pilates practice refines the body, activates blood circulation, tones muscles, corrects body posture and alignment, reduces stress, and increases the ability to focus. Pilates connect the body to the mind. Many doctors are starting to advise it to fight back pain.
